Artist’s Statement:
This image includes 41 native cultivars growing on the hillside of Grizzly Peak. This location is thought to be the last refuge of the Grizzly Bear in Oregon. The flowers were most spectacular growing under enormous, tall Pine trees on the steepest portion of the trail. Shadows made by our group, and the awe of the unique and intermittent plants encouraged me to express the experience in terms of Yoga.
