Work With the Kouba Gallery
The Kouba Gallery welcomes artists who explore the relationship between people and the living world. Whether you’re responding to a current exhibition call, proposing a solo or group exhibition, developing a collaborative project, or bringing a new idea to our community, we’d love to hear from you. Explore our current opportunities below and discover how you can become part of the Kouba Gallery community.
Currently Accepting Submissions
The following exhibitions are currently accepting submissions from artists. Click “Learn More” for exhibition details, eligibility, deadlines, and submission instructions.
A Contemporary Conversation with Nature
Create original work that enters into conversation with the art and legacy of Les Kouba. Rather than imitating his work, artists are invited to reinterpret it through today’s ecological, cultural, and artistic perspectives.
A Juried Exhibition Celebrating Conservation Success
Discover the beauty of species that have returned through conservation, restoration, and care. Artists are invited to create work celebrating Minnesota’s restored wildlife, plants, fungi, and ecosystems while exploring the hope found in ecological recovery.
Beyond the Open Calls
Some of our most meaningful exhibitions begin with a conversation rather than an open call. If you have an idea you’d like to explore, we’d love to create it together.
Lead an Exhibition
Have an exhibition idea? We’ll help you develop it into a public exhibition.
Solo Exhibition
Develop a solo exhibition of your work in collaboration with the Kouba Gallery. Whether you’re an emerging artist or have exhibited for years, we’d love to explore ideas with you.
Artist Collective
Develop a collaborative exhibition around a shared conservation theme, place, or idea.
Collaborative Exhibition
Bring together two or more artists around a shared theme, place, or idea.
Conservation Partnership
Collaborate with the Gallery to tell the story of your conservation organization through art.
