My career in psychology has focused on the relationships of mind, brain, and body to our social context. By taking up photography, I was able to translate those neuroscience-based interests into the natural relationships between light, space, and subject, to their surrounding context. To me, nature photography integrates both worlds: the ecosystem of people’s interconnections that exists within the larger ecosystem of the natural world from which we are inseparable. After all, we co-evolved together. My nature photography attempts to display these dynamic ecosystemic patterns.
